Homemade Hot Sauce

Homemade Hot Sauce

I love, love, love, love, love a good hot sauce and this is a simple recipe that I came across by chance!

The other day, we swung through a local Dairy Queen. I ordered a buffalo chicken basket, but they were out of hot sauce (insert eyeroll here). Once I received my bare chicken basket we stopped at a friends place to visit. I asked if she had any Frank's Red Hot to put on my chicken. She did not, she only had "her new concoction." We'll we shall dub this "new concoction" Jenna's Hot Sauce and it is delicious!

You need:

- 1/2 cup butter

- 1/2 cup brown sugar

- 1/2 cup Frank's Red Hot

- Garlic (the amount depends on how much you like garlic, we like ALOT)

Melt the butter in a small sauce pan, add the garlic and let simmer for a few moments. Add the brown sugar and red hot. Stir frequently while letting simmer for about five minutes. Wahla, you are done! The flavor has a nice sweet kick to it. This tastes great on chicken tenders, French fries, wings and more! I also used it in my buffalo chicken dip the other day and got a ton of complements on it! I keep it in an airtight container in the refrigerator if I don't need to use it all right away. So far it has kept!

I highly recommend trying out this recipe and a big thank you to Jenna for sharing it with us! Enjoy!
